As a common type of elastic webbing accessory, the specifications and parameters of elastic bands vary depending on their intended use and manufacturing process.
Elastic bands come in a variety of widths. Woven elastic bands typically range from 0.3 to 2 cm in width, though wider versions-such as 4 cm and 8 cm-are also available; these wider bands generally have a thickness of approximately 3–4 mm.
These products are commonly sold by length (e.g., 105 cm). Key materials include polyester-cotton blends, polyester, and imported latex threads, with manufacturing involving shuttleless weaving. Products may also be categorized and sold based on parameters such as color (e.g., Two-Tone 1, Two-Tone 2) and minimum order quantity (e.g., a minimum purchase of 300 pieces).
Material Composition: Elastic bands are generally composed of rubber (synthetic rubber, typically isoprene or polybutadiene), polyester, and elastic fibers, bonded with adhesive. Raw material ratios are adjusted based on the intended application; for instance, medical-grade elastic bands are formulated to maintain a weakly acidic or neutral pH to minimize skin irritation.
Customization Details: Most elastic bands can be customized for width, thickness, and length, with elasticity parameters adjustable for specialized uses. The specification range for industrial-grade elastic bands is significantly broader than that for apparel-grade versions.
