Woven elastic bands feature a relatively tight texture and come in a wide variety of types. They are extensively used in garment components-such as cuffs, hems, bras, garter belts, waistbands, cinchers, and shoe openings-as well as in sports protective gear, medical bandages, handicrafts, office stationery, industrial supplies, and household goods. Industrial applications span sectors such as luggage, packaging, and accessories, while handicraft applications include toys, stationery, and DIY crafting cords.

As a garment accessory, elastic bands are particularly well-suited for items such as underwear, trousers, baby clothes, sweaters, sportswear, dancewear, wedding gowns, T-shirts, hats, bras, and face masks; they are also commonly used as strings for clothing tags. Buttonhole elastic bands, meanwhile, are frequently used in maternity wear and children's clothing where adjustable sizing is required.
